2010 Top 5 NFL Free Agents
The NFL 2010-2011 season may be a long way off, but that does not mean fans are deprived of exciting gridiron action. Each year sees a variety of surprising trades, picks, and tumbles. Perhaps the most interesting of all in the coming season are the top five NFL free agent signings. Read on football jersey
for these free NFL picks!
Chad Pennington, Miami Dolphins: Pennington has been a go to guy for the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins. Despite a less than stellar career in New York, he showed signs of promise after the Dolphins took a gamble on his fading star. He responded with excellent performances that reminded everyone of why he was a top commodity in the first place. Then injury came. The Dolphins had to put their stock in a new guy under center, and with the acquisition of top receiver Brandon Marshall, it seems unlikely that there will be enough room at the table for this veteran QB. In contrast, his chances of getting picked up by a team like the Denver Broncos look very promising.
LenDale White, Tennessee Titans: Once the terror of Tennessee, White saw his number of Colts jersey
carries grow smaller as the season progressed. Stuck on the bench behind the promising runner Chris Johnson, it became clear the Titans were not enthusiastic about using White on the road ahead. Though his days as the top running back appear to be over in the country music capital of the world, don't count White out just yet. A number of teams could benefit from his powerful legs and never say die attitude.
Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys may have to pay dearly for an early decision last season not to renew Austin's contract. The prodigy really showed what he could do throughout the year, with over 1,300 receiving yards. Austin is in a prime renegotiation position with owner Jerry Jones, and could still yet wear the blue and white. Millions of fans in the Lone Star State have their fingers crossed, hoping this one works out in their favor.
Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos: He may no longer be a free agent, but up to a very short time ago, football fans, and the Broncos organization, were wondering where this talent would turn up. Would it be in Bronco orange and blue for another year, or orange and a shade of Dolphin blue? As things turned out, it was the latter, and Marshall ended up as one of the first big acquisitions of the upcoming season. Watch for him to add to Miami's burgeoning lineup next year.
Terrell Owens, Buffalo Bills: Owens star Cowboys jersey
has faded, but this star wide receiver is still in fantastic shape, and as long as he keeps his locker room behavior in check - which he did last year - there may still be life yet for him.
